Science Lessons

Play Patch Early Learning Centres now offer Science Lessons to the kindergarten age group once a week. Science lessons are aligned with the Australian Kindergarten Framework and are delivered by an experienced STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths ) teacher.

Early exposure to STEM concepts encourage children to question the world around them and look for solutions to problems. The children engage in new and exciting concepts and the learning takes place through having fun in the classroom.  Hypothesising and following scientific and design methods to create new and interesting ideas.

Examples of topic units that are covered:

• Energy and Electricity
• Forensic Science
• Plant Science
• Optics and Light
• Solids, liquids and gases

Hush Little Baby Music Program enriches children’s lives and fosters social awareness, empathy, cognition and motor skills and gives children a genuine life long love of music.  Children of all age groups participate in the program each week.

Play Patch Early Learning Centre is proud to provide a sports program which is included in our daily fees at no extra cost.

Across all our centres we have a range of sports programs including swimming, soccer, tennis, karate and more.

Our sports program aims to promote physical development through developing gross and fine motor skills, perception, and balance as well as emotional development by promoting team work and sportsmanship in a fun and friendly setting.
